Department of Physics

Introduction
The Department of Physics was established in 2020 with a vision to impart quality education and foster research excellence in the field of Physics. The department launched its BS Physics program in Fall 2020, followed by the MS/MPhil Physics program in Fall 2022. The BS program is a four-year undergraduate degree spread over eight semesters, comprising 130–136 credit hours, designed to provide students with a solid foundation in core and applied areas of Physics. The MS/MPhil Physics program is a two-year graduate degree spanning four semesters, offering 30 credit hours of advanced coursework and research. Designed to cultivate critical thinking and research competence, both programs aim to prepare students for careers in academia, industry, and scientific research. The Department of Physics has a highly qualified faculty, comprising four PhD holders and one MPhil degree holder, trained both nationally and internationally.

Our mission is to produce well-rounded graduates who are scientifically skilled, socially responsible, and capable of addressing real-world challenges. Our vision is to make Physics an engaging and inspiring discipline that inspires curiosity and innovation.
